It’s not everyday I get to step in to the day-to-day life of my clients. And when I’m asked to capture special moments beyond their wedding day I feel honored and blessed to be invited.
I’ve been part of Zirna and Carlo’s life since their wedding day and they continue to give me the blessing of capturing their life’s more intimate moments. From their wedding day to their maternity shoot, I have now since captured their gift of life. With the birth of their first child, they invited me into their home for a lifestyle shoot with their newborn, Matthew. When Zirna asked me to come shoot Matthew I thought about the kind of shoot I wanted to have. I’ve never been in to the “stylized” or “staged” shoots where babies are posed while they sleep, or hung in nets on tress, or stuffed in baskets. Instead, I decided to just take on a lifestyle photoshoot – I capture everything organically: natural and real.
Every time I’m on a shoot with my clients, I learn a few things from them… Life becomes precious when you marry the one you’re meant to be with. It becomes more precious when you set yourselves aside and make a newborn your most beloved.
In the next 2 shots, I’m proud to see that Zirna embraces motherhood…
Of course, a dad has a right to some Sports Center after a day of shooting…
… after all smiles and play time, it’s time for Matthew’s nap.
Thank you, Zirna and Carlo, for always letting me be a part of your lives. Your hospitality and generosity have always made me feel like I’m a part of your family.
XOXO! Can’t wait for Matthew’s next shoot!
