Everyday, LA surprises me. There’s so much about this city to discover that (even when growing up around Southern Cali) I still haven’t scratched the surface of ‘experiencing’ its many gems.
I say ‘experience’ because, as Angelinos, we know these things exist but yet we don’t find the time to enjoy them. For example, how many of us have seen Angel’s Flight in movies and in photos, but have never paid the 50 cents to take a ride up and down the railcar? Or how about the many farmer’s markets and eateries that sprawl around Downtown LA that you haven’t tasted? And, Oh. Em. Gee. There were so many authentic taco stands, that I’ve promised myself to try every. single. one. THAT’S on the bucket list for sure! LA has the BEST Mexican food this side of the country!
Well, not until Saturday did Jenny + Andy give me the opportunity to ‘experience’ a little bit of Downtown LA. Jenny + Andy were a lot of fun to work with and had no problems with people watching them take over Union Station! We started out there, and when it got too busy we headed out to Angel’s Flight to enjoy a little relaxation at Angel’s Knoll (home of one of my favorite movies, 500 Days of Summer!).Congrats, Jenny + Andy! We’re looking forward to your wedding in August. Until we meet again… xo
